The search function for this application is processed as an AJAX request. Registered user page datasets are returned as XML datasets and the search request is split and parsed into an array. The search terms are evaluated against page text and descriptions using regular expressions and maintained in a dataset which returns a sorted result asynchronously to the client as html.
